IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY

 

Once Upon a Time in the West has a lasting influence upon modern entertainment.  Sample the musical scores in these two scenes.  The first is Hans Zimmer’s from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.  The second is Ennio Morricone’s original.

 

 

Let’s hope that Zimmer meant the similarity as a tribute.
